Our group purpose is to help people develop basic mountaineering skills, which will involve class time and field trips. The idea is to build outdoor skills so people become more comfortable on mountaineering trips that require an ice ax, rope, and snow camping. Everett Mountaineers is a group of about 900 hikers, scramblers, and climbers who get out every weekend throughout the year exploring the cascades on water and on the highest of peaks in Washington state.
